No school today!

Thanks for the heads-up on the public holiday today!!

I felt like an idiot, rocking up at the school & no one was there. So I casually drove past, then back home again. I checked the school newsletter & there was nothing about today in there, then i checked the net, and be buggered - it's labor day. Call me stupid, but isn't that an american holiday? I just don't remember such a day when i was at school.
Anyway, as we pulled up at home, Dani said "oh yeah, i knew that there was no school until tuesday" Thanks Dan.

I wonder how many other parents did the same as me? What a goose!

We had a quiet weekend, ended up making sausage rolls - they were beautiful. Didn't do too much else.

Oh bugger about the holiday today. I had my day all mapped out and everything.

*happy place, happy place*

I live by my calendar now that i'm not out and about in the 'real' world...otherwise I wouldn't even know what day it was half the time!

I have dont that before Jen. Except I went one step further than you. I didnt even notice that there was no cars in the street (doh) and I walked Lewis up to the gate. The lolly-pop man was there and he told me that there was no school on today and I was all defensive like "um, yeah... we were just coming for a look". Idiot!!!!

It is funny though. I wished I only just drove past LOLOLOL.

Ha Ha Ha
I won't even tell you guys how many times I did this or sent you on your way to the 'school with no pupils'
We're just too dam busy to read school notes or notice that the whole state is having a holiday. I'm still laughing.
If I can remember correctly, Beck tried to tell me that there was no school today as I was dragging her kicking and screaming to the school gate, where, like Jes said, there was no one. Whoops! I thought she was just trying to get a day off.

Hey guys..... HELLO...!!!!
Labour day was a holiday even when I was at school !!! At least it's a legitimate reason, it's to commemorate all those hours we spent in labour, sweating and swearing and sucking on that old gas mask. Unfortunately they got it all wrong. It should be celebrated by us Mums being waited on hand and foot by beautiful men in loincloths while our babes are being lovingly tended in a free child minding centre in the next town.

Well, when you put it that way Pin, it makes total sense to me now!

I love the idea of the free child minding centre - in the next town...

This was too funny. Mum's response was even funnier. No wonder Im so scarred as an adult. ;) Joking.
