Hi -

This week has been very quiet sofar, but tomorrow the calm will come to a screeching halt.
We have a very early morning, getting the kids to school - then off to Chermside (20 mins away) towards Brisbane, for our 'big shop'. Instead of having the whole day to get all our jobs done, we have to shop like crazy people in the morning & get Scott out to the airport by 1pm.
I don't think it'll be too bad, I just hate rushing (and early mornings)

Mum asked me a few months ago, if I could take some photos of where we live. Done.
My next post will be "our house" (right after I do a spring-clean of course)
Any requests? Will I take just the usual views of the front, the back, the kitchen etc?

The kids have their school photos on Thursday. Dani's fringe has 'sort of' grown back. Now she just looks like she's had a really bad hair cut, not like she's caught her hair in a grater. haha.

No plans for the weekend as yet, but the kids are begging me to go out to Amie's again, they have so much fun out there! We might go the following weekend when scott's home too, because he likes to go out there as well.

I'm going to get myself ready for bed now, (how early is it???)
Must be the weather, the kids were all ready for bed by 6!

Night night

Scott asked for more photos - so there you go!

So tired!

A very good evening to everyone.
We've had alot of rain last night and today, and it's made me so tired.

I woke up thismorning, and it felt like i hadn't slept a wink last night, very strange. The girls are a bit sluggish too, they've just lounged around all arvo.

Our weekend was lovely. On saturday, Hallie had a friend come and visit for the day and Dani and I cooked some more sausage rolls to take to Amies.

We went to Amie's first thing sunday morning and had a beautiful day. I went to take a photo and my battery went dead, so unfortunately, I have no photos to share of our day.

I've had to order a collar for Roxy to stop her barking, it's really driving me insane - she doesn't stop.

I don't think there is anything else to report,

Goodnight xx

This Week

THIS WEEK:

Was Mothers Day. I hope all the Mummy's had a very beautiful day! Hallie and Danielle shopped at the Mothers Day stall at school this year, so for the first time, I got presents from them. It was a lovely array of gifts, which included an eraser, little notepad & pen, scarf, a small box, a pin cushion and some beautiful hand made cards. Molly got me a makeup kit. What a spoiled mummy I am!

Molly can now officially get into everything - literally!

I finally did something about my long, thin, ratty hair. It's still thin, it's still long, hell it's probably even ratty - but it's curly now too. It feels nice to have something different.

Hallie learnt how to ride her bike

And stack her bike

And finally, Molly can sit up all by herself now. And that makes bathtimes...........

.................................SO MUCH FUN

Have a relaxing weekend everyone.

"You're off the air"

Hello to you all...

I was doing a good job updating my blog almost daily - that was until i got a bloody virus!!
Or should I say, 800+ viruses.
Apparently Nortons didn't detect them and it's completely ruined my hard drive.

So I'm at Roz's house checking my e-mails and thought i'd better check in and say hi.

Scott flew out yesterday and the kids and i are planning on a pretty quiet weekend, and off to visit Amie on Sunday, for the day.

I feel like a limb has been cut off not having the internet, it's funny how that is - once upon a time, there was not internet, and we coped just fine!

I should be "back on the air" either today or Monday.
I have a few piccies to post and i'll get some more on the weekend... Stay tuned..

Love to you all.

Thursday

Good morning!
Not alot happening here at Camp Bell. The kids have just been fantastic. They are getting along beautifully and helping me out alot. How nice that after nearly 7 years of being a mother, i'm finally enjoying every aspect of it..
We're just about to drive to the airport and pick Scott up.
Here's a pic of Molly in her warmer clothes. It's getting pretty chilly here at the moment, and it's just started to sprinkle outside. Hope you all have a great day!

No school today!

Thanks for the heads-up on the public holiday today!!

I felt like an idiot, rocking up at the school & no one was there. So I casually drove past, then back home again. I checked the school newsletter & there was nothing about today in there, then i checked the net, and be buggered - it's labor day. Call me stupid, but isn't that an american holiday? I just don't remember such a day when i was at school.
Anyway, as we pulled up at home, Dani said "oh yeah, i knew that there was no school until tuesday" Thanks Dan.

I wonder how many other parents did the same as me? What a goose!

We had a quiet weekend, ended up making sausage rolls - they were beautiful. Didn't do too much else.

Oh bugger about the holiday today. I had my day all mapped out and everything.

*happy place, happy place*

This weekend

Good morning!

We're up, we're showered, we're dressed and fed - and nothing to do...
I've got a bit of washing and some floors to clean, and that'll take a whole of an hour! So what's a family to do?

It's going to be a warm 29 today, I think it's still a bit cool for a swim - mind you, the kids would swim in the antarctic if given the chance!!
I might see if Amie and the Kirkie's are doing anything today, we might go over there for a visit. (they live near Kilcoy, about a 35-40 min drive from here)

I also have to get to the shops a buy some 'nit stuff' - yes, nit stuff.
We got a letter back from the school (danielle's class) explaining that there is a BIG nit problem.
"If your child does not have nits now, he/she will not doubt catch them soon"
Dani hasn't been scratching, but I thought i'd do a little treatment on both girls before Monday. Bloody nits - who invented them??

Molly is over her tummy bug, but I don't think Dani's better yet.
I remember someone telling me (could've been mum) that once your kids start school, they will catch anything and everything that's going around. I don't understand how parents can send their very sick kids to school and not teach them the importance of covering their mouths to cough or sneeze. Some of these kids at school can't even function properly, they're that sick, and their parents still send them. I think it's wrong, not just for being contagious, but for those poor kids that need to be in bed.

I've got a feeling that I am probably only one of about 10 parents that will actually treat kids for lice this weekend, and the kids that are nit-infested will return to school Monday, with out having their heads done. I guess I shouldn't be cranky with the kids, it's the parents.

Speaking of the parents, I got to school the other morning and took Dani into her class, and this little boy was going through his lunch bag and in it was a can of coke, and an old chinese container of fried rice. There's no fridges in kindy, i'm suprised that poor little kid didn't wind up with food poisoning. Where are their brains???

Danielle has been getting awards every week for having healthy lunches, and it's not hard to pack an apple, is it?

There - it's off my chest. What a bunch of morons.

Wow, i got totally side tracked - I was telling you what we might do this weekend.

Ok, so we might stay home, we might go visiting, we may just do a little bit of cooking. Have a look at this recipe I found..... I love the idea that you can make your own little holders out of bread! How cute do they look? I bet you could put all sorts of fillings in them. I also found a chicken, leek and asparagus recipe that i might try with them...

Have a very lovely weekend everyone!

Not much

A very good afternoon to everyone!

Not alot happening today, Molly has had a poor little tummy upset for 5 days now!
Is this going around everywhere else? Hallie and Dani seem to be coming down with it too.
I picked the girls up from school & Dani ran to one toilet and Hallie to the other, and i was changing Molly's nappy all at the same time. My house STINKS... haha.

Before Scott left yesterday, we were doing a bit of a tidy up & Molly was playing on the floor in her room. She was only in there for a second when i went in... cracked up laughing, then called out to Scott.... here's the photo.

She climbed up into the bottom of the change table, and when i walked in - she was laying on her back with her hands under her head! I was pretty funny! Unfortunately, by the time Scott came in with the camera, she had rolled over.... god, i have to keep a good eye on her now, she's into everything! She will be 8 months old on sunday. Time flies!

The weather here is still HOT. We've had days and days of rolling clouds, but no rain! We even had storms and rain forcasted for last Friday, Sat & Sun, but didn't get a drop. Our lawns and gardens are starting to resemble our yard in Dubbo. It's so sad, we can't even water them. I can't even begin to imagine Broken Hill, Cobar & Dubbo's lawns....

Is it May..? Already!

I can't believe how fast this year has gone!

It's not just me either, everywhere I go, that's all I hear from everyone. Should I start my christmas shopping??

This week so far has been lovely. Scott and I haven't done a lot, and the kids have been great.
He's flying out today, home next Thurs, 10th.

We took these photos of Molly in her new PJ's from Nanny Bell.
I took some of her & Scott, but they didn't turn out. I'll try to get some today before he leaves.

What else?
Oh, A VERY BIG HUG to Beck, Mat & Bradman - we hope Mat's getting better!
For those of you that don't know, Mat became very sick with Guillain-Barre syndrome.

Have a great day everyone...
